The band was founded in February 2016 by Arek Królek and Dmitri Sagaidarow. After two months of trial they enter the studio in order to record their debut album with Rock - Art. "Latawce" was published in December 2016. The album received accolades from artists such as Krzysztof Grabowski, Zbigniew Hołdys, DonGuralesko or Leszek Biolik. In musical press it was reviewed positively. In 2017, after line-up change Motława enters the studio again in order to produce their second LP. Music played by Motława is a mixture of rap and rock.
