Taco Hemingway (Filip Szcześniak) is a polish rapper born in Cairo. Despite his debut being an EP made in English, he became famous for the album Trójkąt Warszawski, which, similar to his debut, was self-published. At that time he was proclaimed a peculiarity in the rap genre. Then he began working with one of the most significant polish hip-hop record companies, Asphalt Records. His latest album, Marmur, is a certified gold record.
Taco is without any doubt a breath of fresh air on the polish hip-hop scene. A breaking point of his career was his Open’er festival performance, where he first performed live before such a wide audience. Nowadays, his concerts attract fans in clubs all over Poland.
The music he creates is often classified as a type of street music – observing Warsaw he gathers many sources of inspiration, which are later aptly put into words in his lyrics.
