Hatowiada Ultimate Frisbee Hat Cup
The two days of Hatowiada were simply amazing! But before anything else, a reminder of the rules:
1. This sport has no judge, the players make sure everyone plays fair,
2. At the start of each point, teams of 7 stand opposite to each other in their zones. The defending team begins by throwing the disc at the attacking team
3. A team gets a point when a player catches the disc at the opponent's zone. Between each point changes can be made in team squads and the sides of the court
4. Each team can have a one minute long timeout, only once.
The stadium in Olsztyn on Saturday's matches was full with spectators, and the sunny weather was good for the show, but tiring for the players. The event lasted a couple hours and the showcase match was just a taste of the main event. At the beginning, shirts were given out, and breakfast was served. Sunday's games were in a colder, although sunny weather, but that didn't stop crowds from coming to the Stadium.
The matches took place in a couple of courts at Kortowo's main stadium, and 6 teams participated:
- Hulk
- Captain America
- Superman
- Spiderman
- The Flash
- Wolverine
Saturday's winners were Spiderman and The Flash. On Sunday, spectators got a chance to see 3 group matches on 2 courts, with points brought together from both days to determine the winners.
1st place - Spiderman
2nd place- The Flash
3rd place - Captain America
4th place - Hulk
5th place - Superman
6th place - The Wolverine
At the end of the second day, best players were given medals. MVPs were also selected. Everyone had a great time, and everyone was a winner, despite the results. See you next year!
