Shanty-folk Night
Students are capable of having fun to every kind of music - from disco polo to rock and shanties - and they've proved it a couple of times! The duet from Academic Student's Club - Magda Piotrowska i Maciej Lubieniecki had tracks in both Irish and Scandinavian. Thanks to them, their audience could sit by the beach, while listening to enjoyable sounds - and, of course, being totally relaxed. The next group - "Żeglarze Portowi" in 3-man squad presented originally performed songs. They definitely evoked the nautical climate. What's more, during their preformance the students could be caught smiling from ear to ear! "Szkocka Trupa" finished the shanties part - the audience danced under the stage for the whole time.
It's time for the folk! The "Horpyna" band were the first ones to perform. And who hasn't heard about them? It's better not to say, because they're truly a folk's firecracker! The mass of people came to their concert - everybody was jumping and screaming! ENERGYYYY!
But it wasn't the end... the next big star was the "Future Folk" - known to the wider audience, which was eager to see them performing live. No wonder! The highlanders' energy was felt from the start. The charismatic vocalist Stanisław Karpiel-Bułecka encouraged people to sing together. The audience went mad. It's great to have such artists performing on Kortowiada! Fortunately, they promised to come back to us!
At the end of the folk-shanty night performed "Wodny Patrol" from Olsztyn. Despite the late hour, the students still danced under the stage!
